Anrich Nortje Complete Bio & Career

In an era after Steyn and Morkel when Rabada and Ngidi took over, South African bowling reserves looked much more threatening after the entry of Anrich Nortje. He was knocking on the door for a while but injuries kept him at bay.
Tall, and Lanky fast bowler who mostly bowls wicket to wicket has troubled the batsman not only with his steady line and length but also with some furious pace. He constantly bowls at 140 and is very good at bowling Yorkers as well. He first came into notice when he toured India with South Africa A team. He, however, was given a national call-up after a great 2018-19 domestic season. He made his ODI debut when Sri Lanka toured India just before the ICC U-19 World Cup. He bowled with some express pace and took wickets at a crucial time. He gave a perfect audition to put his case forward for the ICC World Cup in 2019. He was roped in by IPL franchise KKR in the 2019 player auction but had to miss the entire season due to a shoulder injury.
He played his first IPL match for Delhi Capitals as a replacement for Chris Woakes on 14-10-2020 against Rajasthan Royals & out Jos Buttler with the fastest ball (156.22 KM/97 MPH). His ball delivery was the fastest in the IPL to date.
