Anweshaa, a famous singer who produced a tremendous impression on the spectators. At the age of 13, she participated in the singing reality shows such as  AMUL-STAR Voice-Of-India, as well Chhote-Ustaad. She became the popular participant of Judges, but her named declared as the 1st runner-up of the show. She studied at Kolkata  Lycee school. Her only aim was to establish herself as a playback singer. She did her Indian classical singing education from the musical guru Shri Jayanta Sarkar. 
 
She ranked first in m the Hindustani vocals as well as in the Rabindra Sangeet in the music exam of  Bangiya Sangeet Parishad. She won the" Young Talent Contest" under the category of ( Indian-Popular-Vocal )and this contest held in the year 2004"  which was organized by the Calcutta School of Music.
 
She started her singing journey when she got an opportunity to sing in a popular Golmal series film  Golmaal Returns in which she sang the song THA KARKE. She even though sang the songs for the various other language films like  Tamil, Bengali, and Telugu. On 6 May 2008, she recorded for a Bengali movie Khela which was directed by Rituparno Ghosh was her second playback song. She even took part in (NABC-2009) in ( California) San Jose, where she gave lyrical numbers with the Bollywood renowned singer Shaan.
 
She also had a brief work with the Bollywood famous male playback singer Papon in MTV's (Coke Studio). She sang a number of hit songs, such as  Tu Sab Kuch Re, Bol Rahi Hai Payal, and Tha Karke. She has released various musical albums such as Ekla Tor, Neel Dariya, Aarzoo, Dil Ki Baaten, Priyotomasu, and Aaradhana. She was a Tarana music contest, mega finalists. She won the Tele Cine Awards 2011 Best Women Playback Singer Award for Bengali Song. Off late, she has concentrated on Bengali cinema and has sung Bengali songs like Khamoshiyaan, Superstar, and Limelite among others.
