Armaan Jaffer Complete Bio & Career

Armaan Jaffar got a lot of attention because he was the nephew of prolific batsman Wasim Haffer. Soon he made his own identity after scoring the highest record highest individual score of 498 in Indian school cricket match in the year 2010. He made this score while representing Rizvi Springfield School in the U-14 Giles Shield tournament and in the process broke the record of swashbuckling Sarfaraz Khan's record of 439 runs.
 
This was an introduction of his capabilities of playing long innings and scoring prolifically. As a teenager he used to play 2-3 matches daily in Mumbai and while playing in the Cooch Behar Trophy, he scored heavily match after match and garnered a lot of attention. He finally got his due after he was drafted in the side which was picked for playing the 2016 Under-19 World Cup held in Bangladesh. He scored three double hundreds a year before and presented his case for the birth in the Indian U-19 team. He became a vital cog in India’s middle order and scored 160 runs in six innings in that world cup. He subsequently got picked for the Mumbai Under-23 team. He proved as mettle as a batsman after scoring 181 and 60 in the semi-final and final of the prestigious CK Nayudu Trophy. Thus, he was instrumental in Mumbai winning that trophy. After some great showing at the domestic level, he also got an IPL contract worth INR 10 lakhs with the IPL team Kings XI Punjab. He though couldn’t get to feature in a single game.
