Dr. B Ramana Rao is the famous Indian cardiologist and Consulting physician. This man cares about the health of the top ones like bureaucrats, and the prominent personalities. In addition, some of the famous people those have been his patients like (Maharaja Jayachamaraja Wadiyar), (Dr. Rajkumar) as well as the millennium star Amitabh Bachchan.

By seeing his routine task every Sunday, he usually goes to the village to organize the health check-up camp for the villagers. He is having thinking as no poor could die due to lack of treatment. Therefore, he does medical healing touch to each patient in the village. This free medical camp he is organizing for 40 years without any break. He runs the free clinic for the rural people at his ancestral town (T Begur) which is located 90kms from the Bengaluru city. He actually lives in Bangaluru city so it is quite far away, but his dedication to doing the treatment of his patients. He goes every Sunday.

He opened this clinic in 1974, and has received the recognization for the treatment of 1.4 million patients and named as the one of the world's (largest) free serving clinic. He has not restricted himself for just giving the free treatment for his patients but also he also did many philanthropies works such as in his ancestral town he has constructed the shed for his poor patients and he even serves them free hygienic food. He built the (679) toilets in Begur village for the people those are living below the poverty line. He has also treated some of the biggest celebrities in India.

He also has adopted the fifty schools of the village and regularly he distributes books, uniforms and even free furniture for the creating the teaching atmosphere in the classrooms. For his outstanding work for the society, the Padma Shri award conferred him by the govt of India.
