Enrique Iglesias was born to famous singer Julio Iglesias of Spain. His mother Isabel Preysler was a well-known socialite of Madrid. His Grandfather was kidnapped and citing security concerns, he was sent to Miami and he stayed with his Father there. His father schedule was always busy and therefore it was his nanny, Elvira Olivares who looked after him. He also dedicated his debut album to her.
 
It was during his teens that he started to move on his father’s path. He gave a splendid live performance at his prestigious Gulliver Private School in Miami. He was adamant that he will make his career on own and without the help of his parents. To pursue his dreams, he borrowed money from his nanny and recorded the cassette, which featured a pair of English tunes and one Spanish song as well.
 
His dedication and hard work paid off when he recorded a contract in 1995. The very same year his self-titled debut album was released. The album was an instant hit and Enrique from just one album became a household name. He gave a breakthrough performance with the song "Bailamos" in 1999. The song became the No. 1 hit on the U.S. charts and it was also featured in Will Smith’s famous film Wild Wild West. Since then, Enrique’s popularity and success graph just kept on climbing. His maiden all-English record, Enrique was released in 2000 and it has hit songs like "Be With You" and "Rhythm Divine". In addition to English, he has sung various songs in Spanish as well. He is immensely popular all across the globe and he has set the stage on fire wherever he has performed.
 
It seems like his career has peaked but the very next year came to his biggest successful album of his career called Escape. The title song Escape’s video song featured him and his partner, Anna Kournikova. The video song became widely popular. His other hit albums include Insomniac, which includes the famous song such as "Push" and "Ring My Bells"; and Euphoria, which includes the hit songs such as "Ayer" and "I Like It". To date, Enrique has sold over 45 million copies worldwide. Billboard has labeled him as the "The King of Dance" and "The King of Latin Pop".
