H. T. Sangliana was born on 01-07-1943 in Aizawl in the state of Mizoram, India. He is an Indian Politician & Police Officer.

H. T. Sangliana Complete Bio & Career

H. T. Sangliana was an Indian Politician and was the member of BJP. In the 14th Lok Sabha, he became the member of Lok Sabha representing Bangalore North of Karnataka. Before taking the duty in politics, he was in charge as the commissioner of police Bangalore. He also served National Commission of Minorities at the post of Vice-Chairperson.
 
He is known for his ideas to handle parking problems as being the Deputy Police Commissioner in Traffic Department. He served the Indian Police for consecutive 36 years. On July 2003, he retired from the post-Director General of Police, when at the same time; he was Inspector General of prisons too.
 
Even after being the successful candidate in 14th Lok Sabha, he lost the same seat in the 15th Lok Sabha. He was expelled from BJP in 2008 after giving favor to civilian nuclear deal. After being expelled, he joined Congress Party. Afterward, he completed to BJP candidate for Bangalore Central Constituency in 2009. He won the election.
 
The interesting fact about Sangliana, he was one of the 160 international candidates who shared the breakfast table for the US presidential election.
