Harish Raj is one of the most popular figure of Kannada film and television industry. He made his acting debut through Kannada television series titled Hosa Chiguru Hale Beru in the year 1996. Post that, he became a regular in Kannada television industry and went on to act in 12 other serials after that. He was best known for his performance in the television series Maneondhu Moorubagilu. In addition to Kannada, he has also featured in around 6 Hindi television series as well. Most noted of them being Antharal and Malgudi Days.
In addition to small screen this handsome hunk has also tasted success at the silver screen as well. He made his silver screen debut through Kannada film Thaayi Saheba in the year 1997. Since then, he has went on to act in nearly 30 more films. In addition to Kannada, he has acted in Malayalam, Tamil, and Banjara language films as well. Some of his noted films include Thaayi Saheba, Kanooru Heggadithi, Deewapa, Tananam Tananam, and Love Guru among others.
Since he was only offered supporting or character roles, he decided to launch himslef as a mainstream actor. Hence he made his directorial debut through Kannada film Kalaakaar in the year 2009. Since then, he has directed and acted in various other films and most recent of them being Kannada film Kiladi Police. In 2019, he participated in the 7th installment of television reality show Bigg Boss Kannada.
