Srinath was conceived in Mysore district, Karnataka. He did his Bachelors in Engineering in Instrumentation Technology from Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering, Mysore. He tied knots with Jyothsana in 1999 however later they had a separation on a shared asset. He then remarried in 2008 to Madhavi Patravali.
Javagal Srinath took a hat trick in his first class debut in 1990. He was born to J K Chandrashekhar. He first married Jyothsna in 1999. However, the marriage was short-lived and the couple divorced in few years after their marriage. He is currently married to Madhavi Patravali who is a journalist since 2008.
