He is a British racing driver. He is currently on a contract with McLaren Honda as a reserve driver.

The 2009 Formula One World Champion had a niche for driving since long.  His first drive in Formula One was for Williams1 in 2000. This was followed by him driving for Benetton which became Renault in 2002. Then he moved to BAR in 2003 which was finally renamed Honda in 2006.

He has one championship, fifteen wins and fifty podiums to his credit.

Besides driving the champion has interest in collection of cars and has likes of Nissan GT-R, Honda S600 among others. He is also known for doing a lot of charity. He has a trust , The Jenson Button  Trust which provides donations to various charities.

He has been awarded an honorary doctorate degree in engineering from the University of Bath. He is one of the very well known racing drivers.
