Joshna Chinappa Complete Bio & Career

Joshna is an extraordinary player and has represented India on various occasions. She is an Arjun awardee who has won numerous titles for India. As of November 2016, she is ranked No. 13 in the world. Joshna Chinappa got her training at Indian Squash Academy, Chennai that is considered among the top squash academies in the world. Her present coach is Malcolm Willstrop.
 
The 30-year old professional sportsperson uses Wilson squash racket. She has had an illustrious career that has made our country proud. Her career best is World Rank 10 which she reached in July 2016. At present, she has 7 world titles to her name including the British Squash Championship. She is the first and only Indian to win the Championship in the under-19 category. She and Deepika Pallikal Karthik represented India in squash doubles in 2014 Commonwealth Games and even won a gold medal. This was India's first gold medal in the game.
 
Joshna reached her career best of World No. 10 after finishing the HKFC International tournament as a finalist. In all, she has reached 14 tournament finals. Among those she won Chennai Open in May 2012, Asian Squash Title in 2017, NSC Series No.6 in 2009, Asian Junior in 2005, British Junior Open in 2005 among others. She also won her maiden Winnipeg Winter Open Trophy (WSA World Title) in February 2014. Her excellent performance has also made her the first beneficiary of Mittal Champions Trust. Joshna is a performer and has made India proud in more than one occasion.
