The multi-talented woman, Kaviyoor Ponnamma, has worked in Dramas, has done more than 30 television projects, released over ten music albums, done numerous television commercials and has been a Movie Playback Singer other than being an actress.
 
This regional star has done movies in various Indian languages like Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada and is a well-known celebrity in Southern India. She started learning Music at the tender age of five and used to sing in stage shows.
 
Soon after, the talented Veteran, started doing dramas when she was 14 years old, the first one being “Mooladhanam”. Later on, after five years she debuted in Movie world in 1964 with her first Movie “Kudumbini” in which she did the title role who was a mother of two kids.
 
The natural Actress has also won many accolades and awards in her career spanning over 55 years. She has won Kerala State Film Award for Best Supporting Actress as many as four times. Ponnamma married Film Producer Maniswami, who died in 2011 and has a beautiful daughter Bindhu who is living and settled in the United States.
