Lil Kim is a model, rapper, and an actress. Her influences were Diana Ross and The Lady of Rage. The start of her music career was when she performed for The Notorious BIG. This was in the year 1995. She went to Sarah J. Hale high school and then finished her high school at Brooklyn College Academy. She was in the group Junior MAFIA which the notorious BIG supported. Their first album was called Conspiracy and it was number eight in the list of Billboard’s 200 Chart. The album got a gold certification from the RIAA. 
 
The solo debut album was called Hard Core. She separated from the group after a year. Her own album was released in the year 1996, and it was at the number 11 spot on the Billboard 200 list. It was the highest debut spot that an album held by a female rapper. The singer’s third album was called La Bella Mafia. It debuted at an even higher spot than the previous album. It held number five on the list of Billboard 200. It sold a whopping amount of 166,000 albums in the first week after its released. The Metacritic rated it at a score of 65, and generally, the album got positive reviews. 
 
The fourth album that she released was called The Naked Truth and it was released in the year 2005. It got a 5 mic rating and she was the only female rapper to ever receive that rating. After its released, it sold around 109,000 albums in the first week. In the eight season of the dancing show Dancing with the Stars, Lil Kim made an appearance. She danced in that season.
