Meghana Raj Complete Bio & Career

Meghana Sunder Raj, commonly known as Meghana Raj is an Indian film actress. She works primarily in south Indian language films. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in psychology from the prestigious Christ University in Bangalore. She made her acting debut with the Telugu movie titled Bendu Apparao R.M.P in the year 2009.The movie was a box office hit for the year 2009 prior to movies she was a working in theatre as a child artist. 
 
She was offered a role in the Tamil film titled Krishnaleelai even before she made her debut. The film got delayed for production reasons. Later, she made her Kannada films debut with Punda, which was a remake of 2007 movie Polladhavan and Tamil film debut with KS Vandhen, directed by Boopathy Pandian. Her Tamil debut movie was unable to bring people to the theatre and become a failure. Subsequently, she marked her footsteps in her first Malayalam movie in the year August 2010 Yakshiyum Njanum, director by Vinayan. 
 
After repetitive flops in 2011, Meghana made her come back through the Malayalam movie titled Beautiful. The film got widely accepted by critics and also became a commercial hit. In 2013, Meghana moved to Kannada films after a period of four years. She gave two subsequent hit Raja Huli and Bahuparak, both the films were a great credit in her acting account. Meghana has won ‘The Kochi Times Film Award for Promising Newcomer’ in Beautiful and Suvarna Film Award for Best Debut Actress in Kannada for the movie Punda in the year 2011. Meghana stood in 19th position in the Kochi Times 'Most desirable Woman 2015' poll and 10 in the Bangalore Times 'Most desirable Women 2015' poll. Off late she is seen mostly in Kannada films and was seen in films like Iruvudellava Bittu, Onti, and Kurukshetra. She will be next seen in Kannada films such as Selfie Mummy Google Daddy, and Buddhivanta 2.

She was born in a family of actors, Sundar Raj her father, has played many roles in approximately 180 movies; he worked predominantly in Kannada films, on the other hand, her mother Pramila Joshai is an eminent Kannada film artist and filmmaker. She was in a relationship with Kannada film actor Chiranjeevi Sarja & got engaged in Oct 2017. On 02-05-2018, she married Chiranjeevi Sarja. The marriage was ended with the death of her husband on 07-06-2020. When her husband dies,  she was five months pregnant and gave birth to their son on 22-10-2020, which was named Raayan Raj Sarja.
