Moubani Sorcar Complete Bio & Career

Moubani Sorcar completed her school level education from the famous Modern High School for Girls, Kolkata. After that, she obtained her graduate and a post-graduate degree in drama from Rabindra Bharati University. Though she was interested in art and dance since childhood, she opted acting as her profession.
 
She started off as a model and then appeared in television and after that, she became a film actress. She made her acting debut with the Bengali film Badla in the year 2009. She was cast alongside veteran actors like Anamika Saha and Prosenjit Chatterjee in this film. The film was a huge hit and she also won herself a Uttam Kumar Awards for Best debutant Actress. After this, there was no looking back for her and she gave some award-winning performances in the films like Nodi Re Tui and Path Ghat. She will be next seen in Bengali movie Time Pass.
 
In addition to an actress, she is also a renowned classical Odissi dancer as well. For 20 years, she has been trained in this dance form under the guidance of Guru Muralidhar Majhi. She has given dance performances all over the world. She has one more talent and that is of painting. She is also an excellent painter. Even former president of the United States, Bill Gates praised her for her paintings. She has also established her own art school named Protiva where she teaches arts to her students.
