Short Biography
Nawaz Sharif was born on 25-12-1949 in Lahore in the state of Punjab, Pakistan. He is a Pakistani Industrialist, Lawyer, Businessperson, Venture Capitalist, Activist & Politician who has served as a Chief Minister of Punjab, Pakistan (1985 to 1990) & 12th, 14th & 20th Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Nawaz Sharif Complete Bio & Career
After studying Nawaz Shariff, decided to enter into the business of his father where he performed well. During the time when Zulfikar Ali Bhutto (Pakistan PM) initiated nationalization in 1972, the steel company of the Sharif family went straight to the govt. His family experienced considerably even through his business. The teenaged Nawaz got very upset about this and refused to enter the politics to get his business back on track.
In 1981, he first joined the Punjab Advisory Board even under Ghulam Jilani, the Provincial Governor. Sharif has also been a powerful vocalist of democracy since his early career and firmly opposed the nationalization. In the 1980s, Sharif led General Zia-ul-Haq, who had earlier agreed to return his steel industry to him, urging him to denationalize and deregulate industries in the progression to boost the economy.
However, in 1985, Ghulam Jilani ( General) appointed him as Punjab's Chief Minister. He conceivably won this election and had become Punjab's chief minister, and even started working in two consecutive positions even in this state of affairs. As Chief Minister, he indicated welfare as well as expansion movements and was thus very favourite personality by the public. In 1990, General elections were held in Pakistan and he elected as the PM of Pakistan.
Nawaz again contested the 1997 parliamentary elections and won the victory by defeating Benazir Bhutto.
