Neeti Mohan Complete Bio & Career
Neeti did her schooling from Birla Balika Vidyipathy, Pilani, Rajasthan, India and she did her graduation from Miranda House, University of Delhi, New Delhi, India. She is the elder of three sisters kriti, Shakti, and Mukti Mohan. Shakti and Mulkti both are the trained dancers. She never thought as she could become a singer she once said in an interview. Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar is her ideal and she used to practice most of the time on Lata Ji’s song since in her childhood. In 2003, a new twist came in her career, when she became the runner-up of Channel V's "Pop Star" contest and became a part of the Asaman band.
She made her debut from the Karan Johar's movie Student of the Year in 2012, in which she sang the song Ishq Wala love became so popular and counted as the hit song of the year. She rose to fame through the song’s popularity. Even though this song is one of the most successful songs of her career so far. In the same following year, she was fortunate to work with the Yash Raj Films for the song Jiya Re" for the film Jab Tak Hai Jaan. In 2013, she was awarded by the prestigious RD Burman Award for her voice for the songs Jiya Re and Ishq Wala Love.
From 2013-15, she sang some hit numbers such as Nazar Laaye"( Raanjhanaa), Darbadar" (CityLights), Tu Hi Tu" (Kick) and "Mohabbat Buri Bimari" (Bombay Velvet).In 2015, she made her acting debut in the film Bombay Velvet In which she played the cameo role. In her career she collaborated with the great singers as well as musicians like Ankit Tiwari for the song "Aalif Se" for the film Mr. X , Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy for the song "Sarfira" for Katti Batti,with Rahman for "Mersalaayitten" (Tamil song) included in the film I soundtrack. with Himesh Reshammiya for the films; Teraa Surroor and Sanam Teri Kasam for the song "Haal-E-Dil", with Rochak Kohli and Pritam and for two albums; Lucknow Central and Jab Harry Met Sejal.
