Nick Mason Complete Bio & Career

Mason joined the rock group Pink Floyd in 1965. He is the only band member to be featured on each one of their albums and is indeed the only sustained member of the band since its inception in 1965. It is reckoned that as of 2016, the band has recorded a sale of 250 million records worldwide including more than 75 million in the United States. Though he has solely penned down very few Pink Floyd songs but has co-written some of Pink Floyd's most famous records such as "Time" and "Echoes".
 
 
Apart from Pink Floyd, he has also worked with other musicians as a drummer for  Robert Wyatt, Steve Hillage, Gong, Michael Mantler and The Damned.   
 
Mason is also the author of the book Inside Out: A Personal History of Pink Floyd which a personal memoir of Pink Floyd.  
 
He married Lindy Rutter in 1968, with whom he has 2 children. The couple divorced in 1988. He then married Annette Lynton in 1990 and the couple has two children.
