Nirmal Singh Khalsa Complete Bio & Career
Bhai Nirmal Singh Khalsa was born and raised in his village Jandwala Bhim Shah in in Ferozepore, Punjab. He obtained his diploma degree in Gurmat Sangeet from Shaheed Sikh Missionary College, Amritsar in the year 1976. Post that, he served as a music teacher in Gurmat College, Rishikesh. He then served as a music teacher in various other colleges before finally started serving as ‘Hazoori Raagi’, Sach Khand Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple). He served there as ‘Hazoori Raagi’ from 1979 till his death in 2020. In addition to the Golden temple, he performed Kirtans at various Gurudwaras in India and at all the five Takhts. Not just in India, he has performed in over 50 countries. He has also released various albums such as Japji Sahib Rehraas Sahib, Pritam, and Karo Jodariya among many others. For his contribution in the field of Arts, he was felicitated with Padma Shri award by the government of India in the year 2009..
