Priya Tendulkar was a well-established and well-known Indian Film as well as TV actress. She was a fiery social activist, too. She did her graduation in Political Science and possessed a diploma in painting. She had an attractive personality and contributed far enough to the industry. She has a penchant for art and culture. Apart from these beautiful attributes, she was highly religious and loved cooking.
She made her debut in a stage play HayaVadan (1969) in which she portrayed a role of a doll. Before finally making it into the TV and film industry, she did a variety of jobs from being a receptionist in a 5-star hotel to an air hostess, and a part-time model.
She did a handful number of teleserials but gained a huge popularity through them. Her best-known TV serial was Rajani, in which she performed a role of a housewife who could tackle public problems and voice out whenever any injustice was caused. After this, she became a household name grabbing everyone’s interest. She was offered roles by Marathi, Gujrati and Hindi producers after the terrific performance. She did various films and her debut film appearance wasAnkur directed by ShyamBenegal in the year 1974. She has acted in more than 20 films and various other Marathi Films. She was a writer, too.
She was a strong and a confident woman. Amidst all the hardships, she came as graceful personality. She was diagnosed with a breast cancer but this never affected her. She fought bravely and recovered. Sometimes, she was very stern and intense.
