Priyam Garg's stint with cricket started when he was just 5 years old. He developed an interest in cricket from a very young age and since there were no facilities in his hometown, he had to travel to Meerut daily for training. After playing age group cricket, he finally made his first class debut during the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy games. He also made his List A debut the same year. He was selected for the U-19 World Cup 2020 and was also made the captain. He led the side with maturity and was instrumental in India winning the title. He was also roped in by IPL franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad at a whopping INR 1.9 crores at the IPL player auctions 2020.
