Rajiv Thakur Complete Bio & Career
Rajiv Thakur holds a B.Com and PGDCA degree. He was raised in Amritsar and was the classmate of renowned comedian Kapil Sharma in school. In college days, he used to anchor youth festival events. He also performed in various plays at the University level like DEATH OF A SALES MAN, BABA BANTUEK NAYAK KI MAUT, RAB MILAYIAAN JODIYAN among others. Some of his plays which became silver jubilee shows are MIRCH MASALA and EH TA KAMAAL HO GAYA. He won Best Actor Award five times at the University level and once at the National Level.
He began his professional career along with comedian Kapil Sharma with the show titled ‘Hasdey Hasaundey Ravo’ which was aired on MH1 Channel. He was 2nd runner up in the show. On the small screen, he rose to fame after participating in the reality comedy show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge III where he was one of the finalists. After which, he has worked in half a dozen comedy shows. He emerged the winner at the show, ‘Chhote Miyan Bade Miyan’ along with Saloni Daini. He currently works on the comedy show The Kapil Sharma Show.
Besides the small screen, this comedian has also lit up the silver screen with his performance in Punjabi films. He made his Punjabi film debut with the film Lakh Pardesi Hoiye in the year 2008. After which, he has acted in few more films like Dil Vil Pyaar Vyaar, and Tutak Tutak Tutiya. He last appeared in the hit film Thug Life in 2017. Besides Punjabi, he has also appeared in Hindi film Bhavnao Ko Samjho in 2010.
