Rasikh Salam hails from the state of Jammu & Kashmir. He comes from a small town called Ashmuji. He made his first-class debut against Assam in 2018-19 Vijay Hazare trophy. He has played all age group cricket for his state team. He came to limelight after he was bought by IPL franchise MI at the 2019 IPL player auctions for INR 20 Lakhs. He bowled with good pace and has a lot of weapon in his armoury which prompted MI think tank to include him for their first encounter against Delhi Capitals in IPL 2019. Though he gave away 42 runs in his quota of 4 overs but was arguably one of the positives for them in 2019 season. He is too young and with age on his side can become a player from valley state to represent India at the highest level.
