Ravi Mehmi is a famous songwriter from Punjab who hails from a family with some musical background as his father Ranjeet Dharampuria Ji was a singer himself and his younger brother Raj Dharampuria too is an upcoming Punjabi singer. He completed his schooling from Pothohar Public School in Ludhiana. 
 
Ravi started his career in music as a songwriter in the year 2006. The first song that he wrote was Neevi Paake Rakhde which was sung by famous Punjabi folk singer Jagjeet Sandhu. After which, he wrote various hit songs which are sung by almost 40 Punjabi singers like Boota Mohammad, Manoj Chotalia, Miss Sonia, Miss Sanjana and Lucky Khan amongst others. Some of his hit songs include Nawi Mashook, Rusna Manona Fame, and Bewafa Mashook amongst many others. In the year 2013, he established his own record company named We2Recods. He launched this company after his singer friends advised him to do so. Through his company, he launched as many as 100 budding singers in Punjab and to date has released 6 albums and numerous singles under his record label. Some of the well-established singers who got their initial break through his record label are Sanjay Dhaliwal, Boota Mohammad, Miss Sanjana, Ajay Diwana, Geet Gurjeet and Jenky Jatt amongst others. 
 
He though has not lost the passion for writing at all. His upcoming songs are Peg Laaun De, Roti, Hikk Taan Ke and Zandu Balm among others. He has always said that the heights that he has reached in his career are all because of his parent’s support.
