S. A. Chandrasekhar is a South Indian film producer film, director and the writer who primarily involved in Tamil movies and then in few movies from Bollywood. He is a father of one of the most popular actors of Tamil movies,’Vijay’. ‘Sattam Oru Iruttarai ‘ was his directional debut film and actor Vijaykanth got a breakthrough this movie. Later he worked on many social themed movies. He has directed more than 70 films in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Telugu languages. Naan Sigappu Manithan, Vetri, Mutham are few famous movies directed by him. He directed “Chattaniki Kallu Levu” a Telugu movie with Chiranjeevi. He successfully launched his son with a movie ‘Naalaya Theerpu’.He also cast his son as a child artist in many of his films before launching him in the Film industry.
He played a role in supporting character in the film titled Naan Sivappu Manithan.”Touring Talkies” was his 69th and last film as a director. After that, he has been involved in writing and supporting actor characters. He was seen as a former CM and President of Opposition party in movie ‘Kodi’ with Dhanush in the main role. He met an accident at a resort and suffered injuries to his head and spine recently.
