Shoba Chandrasekhar, a famous personality of Tamil film industry and even she, is also the mother of "Vijay Chandrasekhar." who is holding the status of a Superstar in Tamil films. And her husband S. A. Chandrasekhar is also a producer, writer, and director in films. She has had very tragic her daughter died when she was two years old her name was "Vidhya."
She was more passionate about music and to pursue her music aspiration she got admission in "Tamil Nadu Government Music College."Vidwan Shri T.M. Thiagarajan was her tutor who gave her music training. During the time of her learning music, she learned the various instruments from the great musicians like she learned the veena from "Kalpakam Swaminathan" and "vocal Carnatic music" from the famous musician "Smt. Brinda Thiagarajan".
In the early days of her career, she wrote so many stories and these stories her husband had taken to depict them on the screens in the form of films. After writing the scripts and stories she then started direction in films, and later she turned to film producer. She appeared in many classical live concerts in her musical journey and “Maharajapuram Santhanam Trust” music concert was her first ever live concert.
On April 2003, her first musical named " "Samarpanam" got telecasted on Vijay Tv. "Maharaja Oru Maharani" was the first song she sang for the film "Iru Malarga" and she sang almost all the songs for the films were produced by "S. A. Chandrasekhar ". As her journey as a producer she produced just only ten films, and she sang in 12 films.
