Sajjad Ali Complete Bio & Career

Sajjad Ali is a popular Pakistani semi-classical, rock, pop singer, actor, film director and poet.
 
He obtained his F.A from National Art’s College. At the University of Karachi, he also studied classical piano and graduated with a B.A degree. Sajjad Ali released his first classical hit album titled ‘Master Sajjad Sings Memorable Classics’ in 1979 under EMI- Pakistan. Before his debut television program, he appeared on several other television shows including ‘Aap Janab’ hosted by Athar Shah Khan, ‘Rung Barangi Duniya’ by Sohail Rana, and ‘Rag Rung’. He rose to prominence with the song called ‘Banwari Chakori’. Some of his best known albums include ‘Babia 93’, ‘Chief Saab’, ‘Moody’, ‘Munda Tera Deewana’, ‘Aik Aur Love Story’, ‘Sohni Lag Di’, ‘Koi to Baat Hoo..’, ‘Sajjad’s Rangeen’, ‘Chal Rein De’, and ‘Chahar Balish’.
 
As a part of his directorial venture, he directed a telefilm titled, ‘Love Letter’ in 1989. Later in 1998, he released his debut full-length movie ‘Aik Aur Love Story’. He also acted in a movie titled ‘Munda Tera Deewana’. He has also sung title songs for several drama serials including ‘Thori Khushi Thora Ghum’, ‘Na Tum Jano Na Hum Janain’, ‘Sunn Leyna’ and much more. His works have received high acclaim from musicians around the world. He is known to have brought Pakistani pop music into the limelight.
