Satinder Sartaaj Complete Bio & Career

Sartaaj grew up in his village called Bajrawar in the Hoshiarpur district of Punjab.  His actual name is Satinder Pal Singh Saini. He completed his school level education from the Government Elementary School in Bajrawar. He was in class 3rd when he started performing in school plays. He obtained his graduate degree in Music with Honours from the Government College in Hoshiarpur. Post which, he went to Jalandhar and studied Sangeet Visharad which is a five-year diploma course in classical music. In addition to that, he is also a Doctorate in music. During his college time, he wrote various poetries and adopted the poetic name Sartaaj. He is one of those rare Punjabi singers who have such a strong educational background behind them. 
 
Prior to becoming a singer, he used to teach music at Punjab University. He participated in various musical events and even won many of them. He also participated in the famous show of 1990s Zee Antakshari which was hosted by Annu Kapoor. He rose to prominence after emerging as the first runner up in the 24th All-India Light Vocal Festival. His first album Tere Qurbaan released in 2009 and since then his popularity graph has scaled new heights and has released seven more albums after that. All of which have been well received.
 
In addition to singing, he has also acted in the international film The Black Prince in 2017. He played the titular role of Maharaja Duleep Singh in this film.
