Satwiksairaj Rankireddy is a famous shutler from Andhra Pradesh. He started playing badminton from a very young age. He learned playing badminton at P. Gopichand academy in Hyderabad. His skill set suited for doubles and hence was trained accordingly. He started playing doubles by partnering with another youngster Chirag Shetty. The duo made headlines right from the junior circuits and continued their form at the highest level as well.
After BWF announced elite tournaments in 2017, the duo made early inroads and won their first BWF title by winning Gold at the Super 100 series in Hyderabad. The duo paired at the Common Wealth Gold Coast and won a silver medal there. Since then they have been conquering new highs and made the headlines in August 2019 after they won the Thailand Open and thereby became the first Indian Men's Doubles pair to win a Super 500 series. He also plays mixed doubles as well.
