Shaun Marsh is a left-handed Australian cricketer opening batsman. He was raised at Narrogin, Western Australia. His father Geoff Marsh is the former Australian opener. His younger brother Mitchell is also an Australian player. The cricket runs in his blood by family. His father pushed him to cricket at a very young age. This early push led him to become one of the finest run-makers in the country. He studied at Wesley College in Perth. The young man set the record for the highest average of 210, in the Public Schools Association’s Darlot Cup cricket competition in 1998.
He represented the Western Australian team at the Under 17 level. His vast performances invited him to the Australian squad for the 1999 and 2001 Under-19 World Cup. In 1999, he was the 2nd highest run-scorer owned Australia. He has played for teams like Glamorgan, Yorkshire, Perth Scorchers, Jamaica Tallawahs, and the Kings XI Punjab. He is the 19th Australian to score a century on his Test debut. He made his first-class debut IN2001 playing as a middle order batsman against South Australia . He had been a part of the Australian World Cup team three times.
In 2008, he made his debut for Australia in the Twenty20 international match against the West Indies. The batsman scored an impressive 182 in the first test against West Indies in 2015, at Hobart in which is the score highest to date. He married his girlfriend Rebecca O Donovan a(Journalist). In April 2018, he was awarded a national contract by Cricket Australia for the whole session of 2018-19.He was also won a tag of Australia’s Squad for the 2019 world cup.Later unluckily,he was ruled ot from rest of is tornaments due to his fractured forearm.The cricketer named Peter Handscomb played for his replacement.
