Shine Shetty was born and raised in Kundapura. After completion of his initial education, he relocated to Mangalore and started anchoring some local shows there. He dropped out of college to pursue an acting course and went to Mumbai for that. After the completion of course, he relocated to Bangalore and started his career with some Kannada television series. He came to prominence after his performanc in Kannada series Meera Madhava in the year 2013. The following year, he participated in the reality show Star Singer and tried his luck in singing as well.
In 2016, he made his silver screen debut through Tulu language series titled Kudla Cafe. The same year, he made his Kannada film debut through Nuthan Umesh's thriller film Asthitva. For 2 long years, he worked in the Kannada series Laxmi Baramma. In 2018, he was seen in Kannada film titled Gvana Yajna. He was highly appreciated for his performance in the film. In 2019, he participated in the reality show Bigg Boss Kannada season 7. He also became the winner of Bigg Boss Kannada season 7.
