Smriti Mandhana was born on 18-07-1996 in Mumbai in the state of Maharashtra, India. She is an Indian Cricket Player. She plays as a left-handed batter for the Indian women's national team.

Smriti Mandhana was born in Mumbai but relocated to Sangli, Maharastra when she was just 2 years old. She completed her school-level education from Sangli. Her father and elder brother both played cricket and she also took up cricket after watching her brother play cricket at the state level. She was just 9 years old when she was included in the state Under-15 team. She was then included in Maharashtra’s Under-19s team when she was just 11 years old.
 
Her she first caught the selector’s eye after becoming the first-ever women cricketer to score a double ton in a domestic One-Day game in 2013. After some more astonishing performances at the domestic level, she was given a national call-up at the young age of 18 when India toured England. She was instrumental in India winning that test by scoring a well-crafted fifty in the second innings while chasing 182. She became the first Indian female player to score a first-class double hundred when he scored 224 not out of just 150 balls in the West Zone U-19 tournament. She had an astonishing 2016 season and scored her maiden hundred against Australia in Australia though in a losing cause. She injured herself and came into the 2017 World Cup after some break and played two match-winning knocks in the first two games of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2017. She was a part of the playing 11 of the final of the 2017 Wor Cup final which eventually India lost by 9 runs. She is also contracted to Brisbane Heat of Women’s Big Bash League. After Harmanpreet Kaur was ruled out of the T20I squad when England toured India in 2019, she was named the captain of the side and thereby became the youngest Women cricketer to lead India.
 
She got selected, in India's squad for ICC Women's T20 World Cup in 2020 and in India's Test squad for their one-off match against England in 2021.
