Sridharan Sriram was born on 21-02-1976 in Chennai in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. He is an Indian Cricket Player.

Sridharan Sriram Complete Bio & Career

Sridharan Sriram started his career as a left-arm orthodox bowler who can also swing his bat. He rose to prominence after he took as many as 29 wickets when India Under -19 team toured South Africa in 1992-92. He soon started featuring for Tamil Nadu in the domestic competitions. While playing for Tamil Nadu from a bowling all-rounder he became a batting all-rounder. He set the domestic cricket blazing with his consistent run making abilities.
 
After the 1999-2000 domestic seasons, where he piled up 1075 runs including 5 centuries, selectors had no choice but to draft him into the national side. He made his ODI debut against the visiting South African side in March 2000. He performed poorly with both the bat and ball and eventually lost his place. He went back to domestic cricket and kept on scoring mammoth runs and was given another life by selectors in the 2004 tour to Bangladesh. He was in the squad for the first two One-Dayers but even after scoring a fifty, though in a losing cause, lost his place and was since then overlooked by selectors.
 
When he understood that he is not in national reckoning anymore, he joined the rebel Indian Cricket League in 2007. After playing two seasons for them he quit the league and accepted BCCI’s amnesty. 
 
Post-retirement he took up the coaching job and served as an assistant coach of the IPL team Delhi Daredevils and has also coached Australian A and Australian Cricket team for a brief period.
