B. B. Ashok Kumar better known as Tiger Ashok Kumar has served as an ACP in Karnataka Police Service. He was born in a very humble family but always wanted to be a top cop and thus he joined Police service in the year 1977. In his illustrious career, he has been credited with 18 encounters. 
 
He was inducted into Karnataka Police Service Special Task Force. During his time with the Special Task Force, he nabbed down forest brigand Veerapan. He along with his mates was involved in the encounter of famous history sheeter Station Shekhar. During his illustrious career as a policeman, he won several prestigious awards such as President of India Gallantry Gold Medal, President of India Distinguished Service Gold Medal, and Karnataka Govt Kempegowda Award among others. Based on his experience there are as many as 5 Kannada movies are made such as Amaanusha (1989), Circle Inspector (1995), Deadly-2 (2004), Mynaa (2013), and Deadly Soma (1998). He has also penned down two famous books titled Huliya Nenapugalu and Bullter Savari.
