Torrance Coombs Complete Bio & Career

Young and handsome, Torrance Coombs is a Canadian-American actor and worked in films as well as in the theatre. The first television role of Coombs was as John Doe in one of the CBC’s comedy series. The role as Thomas Culpepper in ‘The Tudors’ and Bash in the ‘CW’ drama gave him tremendous fame. These two roles create a sound existence of this personality in the industry. Currently, he is working in a regular series ‘Still Star-Crossed’.
 
In his early life, he joined the school ‘Choir’ for the better exposure in the acting field. After it, in a musical play, he was cast in the role of Rum Tum Tugger. In his high school times, he had performed many theatre roles. He was also enrolled in the University Program of the acting.
 
In his professional theatre times, he has appeared in the production at ‘Bard on the Beach’ and one music play ‘A Little Night Music’. His role John Doe was based on the novel ‘jPod’ written by Douglas Coupland. Apart from this, he has performed various roles in short films. For the role of one short film ‘The Familiar’, he was nominated for The Best Performance by Leo Awards.
 
In 2005, Coombs performed his first role in film ‘Judy’s Comeuppance’. He played the main role in TV film ‘Reign’. This role nominated him for various awards. In 2014, he was nominated by Monte-Carlo Television Festival for the Outstanding Actor for TV series. The same year, he was nominated for ‘Teen Choice Awards’ for Breakout Show. Next year, he got nominations for the best actor of TV series by Golden Maple Awards.
