Trivendra Singh Rawat was an RSS pracharak from the city of Dehradun. He remained loyal to the RSS and BJP and that saw him win against his rival big guns like Satpal Maharaj to the post. He is one of the most skilled organizers. His big test came when he was handed the charge of Jharkhand and he passed that test with flying colors. He was instrumental in guiding his party BJP to a tremendous triumphant in the assembly polls in 2014. He was made the party in-charge. Rawat also has a significant administrative experience. He was made the Chief Minister of the state of Uttrakhand. He was sworn in on 18th March 2017 as the eighth Chief Minister of Uttrakhand.
He was born in a house where serving the Indian Army was a custom. He was actively association with the Rashtriya Swayam Sevaks for almost 14 years. Thereafter, he was given BJP's organizational post. He was also handed to deal with the Uttarakhand statehood perturbation during which he was also arrested by cops many times. Rawat has done his post graduation in journalism. He has worked for several years as a Pradesh organization secretary prior to him being elected for the first time in assembly elections in 2002. He retained his seat in 2007 and was made agriculture minister id state.
His triumphant stint in that capacity won him the post of co-in charge of the party's activities in Uttar Pradesh just in 2014. He is highly regarded as a man who is rooted in rural practices; Rawat is very fond of hill delicacies and visits his village consistently to relish those dishes.
