Veda Krishnamurthy was a tomboy and started off playing gully cricket from a very young age. She was selected into senior state team at the young age of 13. She was the best fielder in the scene as prior to joining cricket, she was already a double black belt in Karate. She made her debut in 2011 against England and scored a brilliant half-century. She herself admitted that she got complacent after that knock on her and was out of the team for the next three years.
She was with the Indian railways in Delhi and made a comeback in 2014. Since her comeback, she has never looked back and played some crucial knock for his side. It seems like aggression is in her genes and she is arguably the best fielder in the side who never shy away from throwing herself on the field. When on the song, she can terrorize the opposition bowlers and is currently among the best finishers of the world.
She was the part of the Indian women’s cricket team that reached the finals of the ICC Women’s cricket world cup in 2017. She was offered the B-Grade contract by BCCI in 2015. This was the first time when BCCI made contracts for female players in India.
