Vijay Ganguly Complete Bio & Career
Vijay was born and grew up into a Hindu Bengali Brahmin family on 21st August 1980 in Mumbai to a well-known film director Anil Ganguly, who died on 15-01-2016 at the age of 82. He completed his higher studies at Mumbai.
In 2005, he strated his career at the age of 25 as an assistant choreographer via Shaad Ali's Bollywood film "Bunty Aur Babli". Around till 10 years, he worked as assistant choreographer and worked for many Bollywood movies including Taare Zameen Par, Yuvvraaj, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Aladdin, and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.
He got a first chance as a dance director/choreographer in 2015 with the Vishal Pandya's Bollywood film Hate Story 3. Next he worked as a choreographer for Baadshaho in 2017. In the same year, he was the dance director of song Guru Randhawa's superhit song "Ban Ja Rani" for Bollywood film Tumhari Sulu and the song became his turning point, for which he was nominated for the 63rd Filmfare Awards for Best Choreography. But, the 63rd Filmfare Awards for Best Choreography went to "Galti Se Mistake" from Jagga Jasoos. You will be surprised to know that the dance director of this song was Vijay Ganguly and finally he won the 63rd Filmfare Awards for Best Choreography. In 2021, he received so much love and appreciation of the audience to a song "Chaka Chak" from the Bollywood film Atrangi Re. For which he won 67th Filmfare Award for Best Choreography. He is actively involved in the Bollywood film industry to date and has given several superhits dance to the industry.
