Anand Kumar (Super 30) was born on 01-07-1973 in Patna in the state of Bihar, India. He is an Indian Mathematician, Educationist, Columnist, Journalist, Educational Theorist & Scientist.

Anand Kumar is the renowned Indian mathematician. He is also a columnist Born and brought up in Patna, he commenced teaching mathematics to the economically backward students and prepared them for IIT-JEE for entrance exams of Indian Institutes of Technology.
The early days of Anand Kumar were full of difficulties and struggles. His father was a clerk at a post office. Anand Kumar has faced several challenges in his childhood. He studied in a Hindi medium government school. Gradually as time passed his interest in mathematics increased. He had also submitted papers on Number theory during his graduation days. He also got an opportunity to seek further studies from Cambridge University but he couldn’t pursue studies cost of monetary conditions and poor health of his father. There was some day, where Kumar had to sell papads during day time to earn a livelihood for his family and studied mathematics at night. He also took mathematics tuitions.
During his early days of teachingAnand Kumar rented a classroom on rent for rs. 500 per month to begin his own institute, the Ramanujam School of Mathematics. The classes grew at a rapid speed. The number of students that enrolled at his classes where around 500 in just a span of three years. Once an economical backward student approached classes to seek admission for IIT –JEE entrance but could not afford the fees. It is then in 20032, Anand Kumar decided to start the Super 30 program for teaching such economically backwards bright students. Anand Kumar got immense popularity for his exceptional Super 30 program.
Anand Kumar has received immense love, respect and accreditation for his exceptional work in the field of education. Discovery channel has also made a one-hour long program on the concept of Super 30 and how it changed the lives of many students who cannot afford huge fees for entrance exam classes. New York Times also dedicated a half page article on Anand Kumar and his unique teaching method. Former USA president Mr Obama, after reading about Anand Kumar in times magazine, offered Kumar assistance for his endeavour but Kumar denied it as he does not accepts assistance from anyone irrespective of who the person is.
The mission of Anand Kumar was to pick up the talented students from economically impoverished sections of the society and to polish their skills. It provides a very conducive environment and believes in quality teaching. They help students to crack the IIT=JEE entrance exams and get admission in Indian Institutes of Information Technology.
Anand Kumar has used innovative teaching methods and technique to impart education amongst its students. The several success stories of students from Super 30 has inspired end number of IIT enthusiasts from economically backward sections. It has provided the motivation to dream high and provide all the necessary effort to build a bright future in the desired sector. Anand Kumar leaves no stone unturned in providing a conducive environment to its students. Every year at least 26-28 students from his super 30 batch successfully crack the entrance exams and take admission in IIT. A movie based on his life titled ‘Super 30’ was released in July 2019 and superstar Hrithik Roshan portrayed him in reel life.
