Anupam Roy Complete Bio & Career

Anupam Roy completed his school level education from the MP Birla Foundation in Behala and St Paul’s Boarding & Day School in Kidderpore. He completed his engineering from the famous Jadavpur University in Kolkata. Prior to starting his music career, he worked as an analog circuit designer. In 2004, he made his way into music. He started writing since his school days but got his first break in 2010 with the Bengali film Autograph in 2010. In addition to writing, he also composed and sang some songs of the films like Amamke Amar Moto Thakte. This song became a smash hit. His next film Cahlao Paltai established himself as a talented music composer.
 
He has worked in all areas of music like composting, penning lyrics, and singing. His noted Bengali films are Baishe Srabon, Teen Yaari Katha, Chorabali, Highway and Shaheb Bibi Golaam among several others. In addition to Bengali, he has also composed songs and background score for Hindi films Piku in 2015. The songs of the films were immensely popular. After which, he has composed some songs for Hindi films such as Runningshadi.com and Pink. He has also composed some song for the upcoming Hindi film called Dear Maya.
 
In addition to composing, singing and writing songs for films, he has also released his independent Bengali albums such as Durbine Chokh Rakhbo Na, Dwitiyo Purush, Ebar Morle Gachh Hawbo and Bakyobageesh.
 
He and his band have also released an English single track called  "Second Sex". He has also reprised some songs in Coke Studio (India).
