Arjun Ram Meghwal Complete Bio & Career

Born on 20 Dec 1953, Arjun Ram Meghwal is a politician belong to Bhartiya Janta Party. Presently he is serving in the ministry of water resources as the Union Minister of State. He has done his post-graduation in political science and has an LLB and MBA degree. He served as an IAS officer in Rajasthan. Bikaner Constituency elected him to the 15th to 16th Lok Sabha in 2009 and 2014. He was also honored with the best parliamentarian award in 2013. For carrying out his governmental functions, he uses his own bike instead of the vehicle provided by the government. He has always been in focus due to his habit of cycling to do his workplaces but later he was restricted owing to security reasons. On qualifying the RAS exam, He was selected for the Rajasthan Udhyog Seva in 1982.
 
He served as General Manager of Jila Udhyog Kendra of Jhunjhnu, Jaipur, Alwar, and in several districts of Rajasthan. Besides this, He was also hired to serve Mr. Harishankar Bhabda as the officer on special duty (USD) in 1994. He was also selected as the additional collector of development in Barner. He rose to fame after winning the election of General Secretary for Dr. Ambedkar Memorial Welfare Society in Rajasthan. He discharges his function and responsibilities in such a perfect manner that he was granted promotion in a short while. He was raised to the status of the IAS officer in Rajasthan. Handling and discharging his duties as an IAS officer, He also served on a post like Special Secretary, Higher education, Deputy Secretary, and so on. He also looks after the commercial tax department and served the functions of the Managing director.
 
In order to join politics, He sought voluntary retirement from Indian Administration services. Soon he got elected in Bharatiya Janta Party. Recently in 2019, He has been appointed as the minister of state for heavy industry and public enterprises. On 8 Aug 2020, He made the headlines that he has been tested positive for COVID-19.
