Devendra Gangadhar Fadnavis is a well-known young Indian politician who belongs to the National political party named Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He is presently serving his term as the CM of the state of Maharashtra. He took his oath as the Chief Minister of the state on 31st October 2014 at the prestigious International cricket stadium, Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. In the process, he became one of the youngest CM of the state. He was only 44 when he held that post. He is best known for his cognitive acumen and professional uprightness. For his remarkable achievements, he was awarded the Best Parliamentarian Award in 2002-03.
Devendra Fadnavis began his political career through RSS. He then enrolled at the Maharashtra unit of Bhartiya Janta Party as a president of the ward. From 1986 to 1989, he was highly active as a member of the ABVP and put forward his thoughts to channelise the youngsters towards building a strong society.
He was just 21 years old when he was made the municipal corporation of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation. He was the youngest corporator ever. He worked as a corporate for two successive terms in 1992 and in 1997. He is to date the only person to be re-elected as the Mayor in Maharashtra.
He was appointed as party president of Maharashtra unit. He was given this post with the recommendations of Nitin Gadkari. Fadnavis led from the front in Maharashtra during the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections. He was instrumental in BJP winning a majority of the seats during 2014 general election in Maharashtra.
