Eknath Khadse Complete Bio & Career

Eknath Khadse was born on 2 September 1952. He is a politician. He is affiliated with the Congress party and Bharatiya Janata Party. He lost the elections which he contested from Kothadi Village. In 1987, he became the sarpanch of Kothadi Village. He also got elected as an MLA for muktainagar constituency in 1989.  He made his entry into politics as a BJP worker in 1980.
 
He lent his full support to BJP in establishing its base in Maharashtra. In the government led by Maharashtra, he took the charge of irrigation and finance portfolios. He also served as the opposition leader in 2009 and continued serving till 2014. His name was also being considered for the position of Chief Minister in Maharashtra in 2014 but unfortunately, Devandra Fadanvis acquired the post. Khadse was accused of corruption charges owing to which he resigned from his post of Revenue minister in 2016. Khadse condemned the internal party politics when BJP removed his name from the candidate list in 2019. 
 
Soon he gave his resignation from the Bharatiya Janata Party in October 2020 declaring that he wants to join NCP.
