Gurpreet Ghuggi is considered the pride of Punjabi Cinema. He is a legendary actor known for his comedy in Pollywood movies. The actor took his school study from Govt. School in Gurdaspur and then jumped to Doaba College, Jalandhar (affiliated to Guru Nanak Dev University) where he finished his bachelor's degree in Arts stream. Mr. Ghuggi is fond of acting since his school days. He got participated in many stage plays, street plays, and competitions during his schooling. It has been running in his college also where he began theatre plays. 
 
Gradually, his interest in acting going profound and he adopted it professionally. He made his debut in 1990 with the Comedy series "Ronak Mela". After that, the actor signed for the soap opera serial "Parchhaven" where he was seen in a very serious role. He also acted in Ghuggi On-Line and Ghuggi Express. It was the beginning of his career and the comedian gained huge popularity. After that Gurpreet indulged in Punjabi Cinema.
 
In 2002, the politician did work in his first film "Jee Aayan Nu". Here, he worked alongside Harbhajan Mann (Punjabi Actor), Priya Gill (Pollywood Actress), and Kimi Verma (Punjabi Actress). Later on, he signed another film "Pind Di Kudi" in 2003. In this way, his series of films started, then he never looked back and did many films. His well-known movies are "Asa Nu Maan Wanna Da" (2004), "Yaaran Naal Baharan" (2005), "Ek Jind Ek Jaan" (2006), "Jag Jeondeyan De Mele" (2009), "Apni Boli Apna Des" (2009) as Yankee Singh, "Yaara o Dildaara" (2011), "Lucky Di Unlucky Story" (2013), "Jatt James Bond" (2014) as Binder alongside Gippi Grewal (renowned actor), "Ardaas" (2016) where he played the role of master Gurmukh Singh, "Naukar Vahuti Da" (2019) and so on.
 
Apart from this, the comedian showed his fine artwork not only in Punjabi films but also in Hindi films. He debuted in Bollywood with Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the film "Humko Deewana Kar Gaye" in 2006. Here, he was acted as Aditya's friend. Despite this, he worked in "Namastey London" (2007), "Race" (2008) as special appearance of an inspector, "Singh Is Kinng" (2008), and so forth. Along with this, Mr. Ghuggi performed in discography and videography also.
 
Additionally, the actor becomes a member of the Aam Aadmi Party (APP) in 2014. He served himself as Party's state convener for 2016 till 2017. Now, he left the party. These days, he supports farmer's protests heartily. In the last days, Gurpreet went to Delhi to meet the farmers and encouraged them with his powerful speech to cancel the black bills.
 
Freshly, the comedian is busy in the shooting of his upcoming movie "Paani Ch Madhaani". Which is going to release in 2021.
