Jai Sampath Complete Bio & Career

Jai Sampath is more commonly known as Jai. He was born in a family of musicians, his paternal uncle Deva is a well-known music composer of the south Indian film industry. To pursue a career in music, he shifted to the UK to learn keyboard and for that, he enrolled at the Trinity College London. Prior to making his acting debut Jai initially worked as a keyboardist in various movies with his cousins Bobo Shashi and Srikanth Deva and Uncle Deva, who are noted, musicians. To date also he likes to get involved in the music of his own movies. Jai is a huge admirer of Yuvan Shankar Raja.
 
Jai made his full-fledged acting debut with the Tamil Action Romantic film Bhagavathi in the year 2002 co-starring  Ashish Vidyarthi, Vijay, Vadivelu and Reemma Sen. His debut film was a huge commercial success. He received the first film in a starring role with the film Chennai 600028 in 2007 co-starring Nithin Sathya and Shiva, the film was a huge hit and helped him establish as a lead actor in the industry. After which he delivered several box office hits like Subramaniapuram and Engaeyum Eppothum among several others. After creating a niche for himself in Tamil film industry, he made his Malayalam language film debut through the film titled Madhura Raja in the year 2019. He shared screen space with legendary Malayalam film actor Mammootty in this film.
 
In addition to films, Jai has a huge interest in car racing and in an interview, he admitted that he was inspired by the great Ajith Kumar. To do what he is most interested in, he participated in JK Tyre National Racing Championship in2014 which was held in Sriperumbudur, Chennai.
