Jayant Sinha was born on 21-04-1963 in Giridih in the state of Jharkhand, India. He is an Indian Politician.

Jayant Sinha Complete Bio & Career

Jayant Sinha’s father was an IAS officer and hence had to move from one place to another while he was a child. He is an alumnus of IIT Delhi. While his time in IIT, he was selected as the student representative to its Senate. He was also highly active in other curricular activities as well and represented his college in Quizzes, Debates, Theatres, and Tennis. After obtaining his graduate degree from IIT, he went to the US and obtained his MS in Energy Management & Policy from the famous University of Pennsylvania. After that, he enrolled at the prestigious Harvard University and obtained his MBA degree from there. 
 
Since his father was a politician, he was also active in politics from the decade of 2000. He though came to prominence after he was given a Lok Sabha ticket from Jharkhand’s Hazaribagh constituency in 2014 general elections by BJP. When his father was serving as the finance minister of India in Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s cabinet, he used to give his inputs. He was made the Minister of State for Finance in 2014 and worked closely with the prime minister Narendra Modi and formulated National Economic Policy. He was then made the Minister of State for Civil Aviation in 2016. He defended his constituency in the 2019 general elections as well but was denied a position in Narendra Modi’s cabinet.
