Kaur B’s actual name is Baljinder Kaur. Since childhood, she knew that she wanted to be a singer and therefore she took part in every single singing competition that was held in her school or locality. Her parents and school teachers too supported her.
 
She took formal training in music from Professor Guru Pratap Singh Gill. Pratapji believed in her and always motivated her by saying that her voice is actually a gift from God. Her relatives were totally against her profession but it was her father who always stood by her. She rose to prominence after participating in the singing reality show called Voice of Punjab, Awaaz Punjab Di.
 
It was the famous Punjab Actor named Kartar Cheema who introduced her to noted lyricist Bunty Bains. She got her first break in singing by singing a song titled “Classmate” of the Punjabi film titled Daddy Cool Munde Fool. Then Bunty Bains gave her a break to sing his written song Pizza Hut. It was Bunty Bains who asked her to change her screen name to Kaur B. Some of her noted tracks are Paranda, Kaniyan and Mittran de boot among various others.
 
In addition to singing, she also likes s dancing. She has expressed her desire to sing a Hindi song one day. Her favorite food is  Makki di Roti Te Saro Da Saag. She is a huge admirer of Punjabi singer Surinder Kaur.
