He is the top business tycoon and the chairman of the re-known group Aditya Birla Group of Companies. He started this venture in the year 1982. He is also serving as a chancellor of the Birla group’s institute of technology and science.
 
He pursued his degree from Mumbai University and then post graduation from London Business School. He also pursued a degree from the famous ICAI in the finance stream. Aditya Birla group is the 3rd largest business group in the world.
 
Kumar Mangalam Birla is married to Mrs. Nirja Birla and is blessed with three children. His wife is running a school in Aditya Group’s name. He achieved many awards out of which one was in the year 2005 wherein he was awarded the honour of “The Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the year”. When he initially entered the business than in the year 2002 he was awarded the “Qimpro Platinum Standard” for starting Amity Business School and to launch it with a new concept.
 
His total net worth is $41 billion; recently he was in the news for salary reduction where it was said he made a big difference by bringing the salary of his employees from 13 crores to 3 lakh, which was a commendable change.
 
He had been blessed with three children, “Ananya Birla”,”Aryaman Birla” and “Adavitesha Birla”. He is amongst the most successful young entrepreneurs who had reached this high in his professional career. He was born into a Marwari Business Family, and continued the business and marked his name by successful.
