Mahipal Maderna was an Indian politician from Rajasthan. He was previously a member of the Indian National Congress. He was born to a farming family Landlords of Lakshman Nagar. His father Parasram Maderna worked as a cabinet minister in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly. He was educated as a lawyer and held an LL.B. degree. He joined the Indian National Congress and entered politics.
He also served as the Water Resources Minister of Rajasthan in the Gehlot ministry. In1981, 1988, 1994, and 2000 he was elected as the chief of Jodhpur Zilla Parishad. He was elected to the 12th State Legislative Assembly from Bhopalgarh in 2003. Moreover, he was elected to the 13th State Legislative Assembly from Osian, Jodhpur. He was appointed as cabinet minister for water resources.
He was accused of being involved in the case of the disappearance of Bhanvari Devi who was a nurse. In 2011 he lost his cabinet position. He along with Vijay Poornia also accused of the murder of a student named Dilip Singh of Jaipur.
