Maya Harris Complete Bio & Career

In 1989, Maya completed her bachelor's degree in arts from the University of California, Berkeley. After it, she attended Standford School of Law from where she got her degree in law and administration. During her college days, Maya was very active in works for the welfare of society, campaigns against violence, and raise voice for students' rights. she served as co-chairperson of the student steering committee.
 
After completing her Juris doctorate of law, Maya started practicing with the United States district court's judge named James Ware. Then, she joined the law firm of Jackson Tufts cole and played the role of legal advisor in the criminal and civil settlement cases. For her active thinking and excellent work, the bar council honored her with the Junius W. Williams Youg lawyer of the year award.
 
Harris was named among the top 20 young lawyers in the year 1997. Along with her career as an advocate, she also served as a professor of law in two well-known universities of the United States are the University of San Francisco school of law and the new college of California school of law. She also served as dean at lincoln law school of San Jose.
 
She was also very active in politics from her college days. During the election campaign of her sister Kamala Harris, she was seen many times supporting her sister. Her sister is the first Indian woman who is elected as vice president of America. She is a representative of the democratic party.
