Mayanthi Langer is a television presenter and journalist from India. She has been mainly associated with Star India Private Limited.
 
As her father worked in the United Nations, she lived in the United States for some time. This is when she developed interest in football. She was also the part of her college’s football team. She wanted to pursue a career in graphic designing. However, she became the guest anchor for FIFA Beach football broadcast. With a successful anchoring for the broadcast, she earned recognition and began her professional career with the television show ‘Football Café’ for Zee Sports. She was also an associate producer for the show. Mayanthi was then offered various shows on the channel where she provided commentary, pre-match interviews, half-time and post-match shows. She also presented the Nehru Cup football tournament for Zee Sports. She anchored the controversial Indian Cricket League for the channel. She was a host for the broadcast of 2010 FIFA World Cup in India on the ESPN Network, where she did pre-match, half-time, and post-match analysis. She was amongst the expert panel members for the show. She was the host for Commonwealth Games held at Delhi in 2010. She was a presenter for the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup held in India. She also worked for Ten Sports where she covered the bi-lateral series between India and South Africa in 2013. After moving to Star Sports, she has hosted a show called ‘Star Power’. She has also hosted Indian Premier League, Champions League, and other popular cricket tournaments. She has anchored the Indian Super League football tournament too.
